今回私たちは、（株）メモリード東京のサポート事業である区民葬儀相談センター成城店にお伺いしました。

成城学園前駅から徒歩1分の場所にあります。

今回、担当してくださった守屋さんと坪内さんはとても明るく私たちを出迎えてくださいました。

このお店では葬儀の事前相談やお見積もり、仏壇や仏具、お線香などの販売も行っています。

このお店は平成２２年１２月にオープンしました。以前その場所には郵便局があり、開店当初は郵便局と間違えて多くの方がお店を訪れたそうです（笑）

来店するお客様は、成城近辺に住んでいる方が多く、親を見送る世代の方から、ご自身のことまで、幅広い年齢層の方が来店されるそうです。

お客様一人ひとりの、ご縁を大切に感じている守屋さんは、気さくにおしゃべりして下さる方が増えてきて嬉しいとおっしゃっていました。

お店で販売しているお線香などを見せていただきました。

また、こんなに可愛い食べ物の形をしたろうそくもあります！

守屋さんが働く上で大切していることは、関わった方とはしっかりとお話をし、事後の話も真摯にお聞きすることだとおっしゃっていました。

今後の目標をお伺いすると、店舗をもっとたくさんの方に認知していただき、気軽に立ち寄れる場所にしたいとお話していだだきました。

守屋さんと坪内さんはとても気さくな方で今回とても楽しく取材させて頂くことができました。

Funeral consultation is here!

Seijo Funeral Consulation Center for Ward Residents

We visited the Seijo Funeral Consulation Center for Ward Residents, which is a support business of Memolead Tokyo.  The center is just a 1-minute walk from Seijo-Gakuemmae Station.

We were welcomed there by Ms. Moriya and Ms. Tsubouchi

At the center, they provide funeral consultation and estimates, as well as sales of family’s Buddhist altars and Buddhist altar fittings, and incense sticks, etc.

The shop opened in December, 2010. There was a post office here before, and many people mistook the shop for the post office when it first opened.

Many of the visitors coming to the shop live in the Seijo neighborhood, and there is a wide age range, from younger people saying farewell to their parents, to older people making arrangements for themselves.

Ms. Moriya, who values the relationship with each customer, told me that she was happy to see an increase in the number of people who chat to her in a friendly way.

She showed me some of the incense sticks that are sold in the shop. In addition, there were these pretty food-shaped candles!

For Ms. Moriya, the most important thing in her work is to talk steadily to the persons concerned, and to listen earnestly to their stories afterwards also.

When I asked Ms. Moriya about her future aims, she said that she wanted the shop to become more well known, and to be a place where people could feel comfortable about dropping in.

I enjoyed this interview, thanks to the open-hearted attitude of Ms. Moriya and Ms. Tsubouchi.
