眼鏡を通して成城の街を見守り続ける「関口眼鏡店」/Optical store SEKIGUCHI (English below)

今回お邪魔させていただいたのは、成城学園前北口から１分ほどにある成城プラザ１階の「関口眼鏡店」さんです！

今回は店長の芹田邦廣さんにお話を伺いました！

初めてで緊張していた私たちにお茶を出してくださったり、ぎこちないインタビューに優しく受け答えしてくださったり、とても親切にしていただきました！

 

「関口眼鏡店」さんは、大正７年牛込神楽坂にあった時計屋を前身として、昭和４４年に成城の地に眼鏡店としてオープンし、なんと今年で創業４７年目になるそうです！

店内は高級感が漂っていて、落ち着いて上品な雰囲気でした。

まず初めにこのお店のこだわりをお伺いしました！

 

店長の芹田さんは、眼鏡を通してお客様の「見る生活」のお手伝いがしたい。

そして眼鏡をかけることで、ファッションとして雰囲気を変身させたいということをおっしゃっていました！

 

次に、このお店のおすすめ商品についてお伺いしました！

まずは店長イチオシのデンマーク製LINDBERGの眼鏡です！

細い！！

 

この眼鏡は、はネジが使われておらず、超軽量で、柔軟かつ強靭ということが特徴です！

本当に軽くて、まるでなにもかけていないようでした！

 

そしてこちらは１８金の眼鏡！！！お値段はなんと約５０万！！！！

 

これは恐れ多くて試着しませんでした…笑

このように、お手頃なものから高級なものまで、さまざまな種類の眼鏡を取り揃えていました！

 

最後に、メガネを使用する際の注意点として、眼鏡を外すときは片手ではなく、しっかりと両手で外し、大切に扱ってほしいとおっしゃっていました！

 

とても眼鏡に対する愛が感じられました！

 

来店されるお客様は高齢者の方が中心となっているそうですが、若い方でも眼鏡の修理や、視力の相談など、無料でおこなっていただけるそうなので、まずは是非、お店に足を運んでみてください！！

Introducing Sekiguchi Meganeten.

This shop is in the first floor of the building called Seijo plaza about one minute on foot from Seijogakuenmae Station north exit.

We interviewed Mr. Kunihiro Serita, the store manager.

As we were tense, he kindly gave us tea to relax us, and answered our awkward questions gently.

 

The business started in Ushigome Kagurazaka in 1918, and the Seijo shop opened as glasses shop in 1969. This year marks its 47th year of business!

There was sense of quality in the shop and an atmosphere refined calm.

Firstly, we asked him that what is the thing that the store cherished the most?

He told us, “I want to help my customers enjoy life through the glasses they choose. When a person changes their glasses, like fashion, they can change their style.”

Next, we asked him about the recommended products of this shop.

The store manager’s first recommendation was glasses by LINDBERG, made in Denmark.

Very light!

The characteristic of these glasses is that they do not use screws, which makes them super lightweight and flexible and tough.

They were really light, almost as if I were not wearing glasses at all!

And these glasses are 18-karat gold! The price is approximately 500,000 yen!

Wow…:O

We were too nervous to try these on.

 

In this way, from things handy to high-quality things, there were various types of glasses.

Finally, we were warned always to take off our glasses with both hands, not with one hand, in order to treat them carefully.

We were able to feel how much he cares for glasses!

Most of the visitors using this shop seem to be elderly people, but the shop repairs glasses and gives eyesight consultation free of charge, so please do drop in.
