今回、私達がお邪魔させていただいたのは、「四季膳 ほしや」さんです！

ほしやさんは7年前の2009年創業です。また、駅から徒歩5分ほどの住宅街にお店を構えています。周辺に飲食店はなく、お客様の大半は常連さんであるため、特に看板等は出していないそうです。

店内にはカウンターとお座敷が数席設けられおり、とても落ち着いた品のある印象でした。

ここで店主の星谷さんにお話を伺いました！

星谷さんは、お客様へのおもてなしを一番としており、なんとお客様から「ふぐを食べたい」と言われ、ふぐの調理師免許をとったご経験もあるそうです！

季節によって旬が異なるため、季節毎に季節を感じられるようなコース料理を提供しているそうです。また、野菜を金沢から、魚を九州から仕入れていたり、お酒を常時15〜20種取り揃えていたりと、お客様想いの食のこだわりを感じました！

学生のお客様は少ないそうなので、私達もいつかプライベートでお邪魔させていただきたいと思います！ディナーだけではなく、ランチも提供しているので、皆さんも是非、一度足を運んでみてはいかがでしょう！

Hospitality that makes you feel the seasons, “Four seasons Zen”

 

For our interview, we visited ” Four seasons Zen Hoshiya “!

Hoshiya was founded in 2009, 7 years ago. Moreover, they have a shop in a residential area about 5 minutes on foot from the station. There are no eateries in the surrounding area. As most of the customers are regulars, the shop doesn’t really post signs outside.

The shop has a counter, and also several tables, and makes a very calm and dignified impression.

I spoke to Mr. Hoshiya, the shop owner!

Mr. Hoshiya always puts customer hospitality first, and when some of his customers said they wanted to eat fugu, he actually obtained his fugu chef’s licence.

The best taste changes with the seasons, so Mr. Hoshiya provides different dishes in each season. Also, I could sense his commitment to his customers from the fact that he sources his vegetables from Kanazawa, his fish from Kyushu, and always has 15 to 20 kinds of sake available.

Since there are apparently very few student customers, we would like visit the shop privately one day. The shop provides lunch menus also, so please do take the time to drop in once.

今回、私たちは成城学園前駅から、徒歩5分の場所にある、蛇の目寿司さんにお邪魔しました。

蛇の目寿司さんは、創業1968年で、もともと浅草にお店を構えていましたが、上野毛と成城に移転しました。親子代々続く老舗です。お店の名前である蛇の目とは、太い環（わ）による◎の形で、縁起が良いとされています。

 

趣き深い店内は落ち着いていて、下町風の家庭的な雰囲気が感じられます。

出迎えてくれた店主さんは、優しくインタビューに応じてくださいました。

蛇の目寿司さんのこだわりは、魚の鮮度管理を徹底し、お客さんに新鮮な状態で提供することだそうです。魚の仕入れ先は、築地と川崎を中心とし、時には自らマグロを釣りに行くこともあるそうです。

お店のこだわりは、「常に基本を忘れないでやること」と熱く語ってくださいました。

これから夏にかけておすすめのネタは、鯒（こち）やアカハタだそうです。

店主さんの御厚意により、おすすめのランチメニューと冷やしトマトのサラダを

ごちそうになりました。

蛇の目寿司さんのランチメニューは、毎回店主さんによって

厳選されたお寿司10貫とお吸い物と高野豆腐のセットをいただくことができます！

このボリュームで税込1300円！

季節によりネタは少し変わるそうなのですが、

マグロ・いか・えび・タコ・白身・いくら・ニシン・節目のアジ・玉子は

いつでもおいしくいただくことができます。

トロは、口に入れた途端すぐにとろけてしまいました。

トロにしっかりと脂がのっていますが、しつこくなく甘くまろやかな味わいでした。

タコといかはしっかりと弾力がありつつも、噛むほどに甘みを感じることができる

とても奥深い味わいでした。

節目のアジは、ネギと生姜がアクセントとなっていて、さっぱりとした味わいでした。

ニシンの握りは、北欧風のオリジナルのお寿司で、ニシンはハーブ入りの酢に漬けているそうです。醤油をつけずに、刻み玉ねぎと一緒に頂きました。お酢がほのかに香り、ニシンとシャキシャキの玉ねぎがマッチし、新感覚のお寿司でした。

玉子は、優しい甘さとふわっとした舌触りの玉子と、シャリのほどけるような触感が絶妙にマッチしていました。

こちらの冷やしトマトのサラダは夏季限定のメニューで、

店主さんのこだわりがたくさん詰まっています。

トマトに添えられているバジルは家庭菜園ならではの朝摘みのものを使っているため香りが強く、さわやかな風味が印象的でした。

味の決め手となっている自家製のイワシのアンチョビは

２年もイワシを塩漬けにしたもので、トマトに挟んで食べると

トマトの甘さが一層際立っていました。

みなさんもぜひ蛇の目寿司さんで、ゆっくりと贅沢な時間を

過ごしてみてはいかがでしょうか。

A wonderful sushi restaurant nestled in a luxury residential area.

We visited JANOME SUSHI, located 5 minutes on foot from Seijougakuenmae station.

JANOME SUSHI was founded in 1862. The shop was in Asakusa originally, but moved to Kami-noge and Seijo. JANOME SUSHI is long-established store managed by several generations of the same family. JANOME refers to the shape of a large circle, and is said to be lucky.

The homey atmosphere of the shop is relaxed and has a traditional downtown feeling.

The owner kindly agreed to an interview.

He insists on offering fresh, and good quality fish to his customers. He gets his fish from Tsukiji and Kawasaki mainly, and sometimes go to catch his own tuna.

He said that it is important always not to forget the basics.

His recommended fish for summer are kochi and akahata. We were kindly treated to the recommended lunch dish and tomato salad.

The lunch dishes are ten pieces of sushi, carefully selected by the owner, along with soup and koyadofu. All for just 1,300 yen!

The selected fish change with the seasons, but the tuna, squid and shrimp are good in every season.

The toro (fatty tuna) melted in the mouth.

The octopus and the squid were firmly elastic tightly, and the flavor became sweeter the more I chewed.

The horse mackerel had a sharp, clean taste, accented by the green onion and ginger.

The herring was also good. That’s pickled in vinegar with herbs. Without adding any soy sauce, I ate it with chopped onion. It was a new sushi experience for me.

The gentle sweetness and soft mouthfeel of the egg matched perfectly with the rice, and was very good indeed.

This is the tomato salad, which is a summer-only menu. It’s filled the owner’s              original ideas.

The basil in the dish comes from the kitchen garden, and has a strong and refreshing fragrance. The anchovies are homemade, with sardines salted for two years. It made the tomato sweeter.

We thoroughly recommend treating yourself to a visit to Janome.

今回私たちは、（株）メモリード東京のサポート事業である区民葬儀相談センター成城店にお伺いしました。

成城学園前駅から徒歩1分の場所にあります。

今回、担当してくださった守屋さんと坪内さんはとても明るく私たちを出迎えてくださいました。

このお店では葬儀の事前相談やお見積もり、仏壇や仏具、お線香などの販売も行っています。

このお店は平成２２年１２月にオープンしました。以前その場所には郵便局があり、開店当初は郵便局と間違えて多くの方がお店を訪れたそうです（笑）

来店するお客様は、成城近辺に住んでいる方が多く、親を見送る世代の方から、ご自身のことまで、幅広い年齢層の方が来店されるそうです。

お客様一人ひとりの、ご縁を大切に感じている守屋さんは、気さくにおしゃべりして下さる方が増えてきて嬉しいとおっしゃっていました。

お店で販売しているお線香などを見せていただきました。

また、こんなに可愛い食べ物の形をしたろうそくもあります！

守屋さんが働く上で大切していることは、関わった方とはしっかりとお話をし、事後の話も真摯にお聞きすることだとおっしゃっていました。

今後の目標をお伺いすると、店舗をもっとたくさんの方に認知していただき、気軽に立ち寄れる場所にしたいとお話していだだきました。

守屋さんと坪内さんはとても気さくな方で今回とても楽しく取材させて頂くことができました。

Funeral consultation is here!

Seijo Funeral Consulation Center for Ward Residents

We visited the Seijo Funeral Consulation Center for Ward Residents, which is a support business of Memolead Tokyo.  The center is just a 1-minute walk from Seijo-Gakuemmae Station.

We were welcomed there by Ms. Moriya and Ms. Tsubouchi

At the center, they provide funeral consultation and estimates, as well as sales of family’s Buddhist altars and Buddhist altar fittings, and incense sticks, etc.

The shop opened in December, 2010. There was a post office here before, and many people mistook the shop for the post office when it first opened.

Many of the visitors coming to the shop live in the Seijo neighborhood, and there is a wide age range, from younger people saying farewell to their parents, to older people making arrangements for themselves.

Ms. Moriya, who values the relationship with each customer, told me that she was happy to see an increase in the number of people who chat to her in a friendly way.

She showed me some of the incense sticks that are sold in the shop. In addition, there were these pretty food-shaped candles!

For Ms. Moriya, the most important thing in her work is to talk steadily to the persons concerned, and to listen earnestly to their stories afterwards also.

When I asked Ms. Moriya about her future aims, she said that she wanted the shop to become more well known, and to be a place where people could feel comfortable about dropping in.

I enjoyed this interview, thanks to the open-hearted attitude of Ms. Moriya and Ms. Tsubouchi.

今回お邪魔させていただいたのは、成城学園前北口から１分ほどにある成城プラザ１階の「関口眼鏡店」さんです！

今回は店長の芹田邦廣さんにお話を伺いました！

初めてで緊張していた私たちにお茶を出してくださったり、ぎこちないインタビューに優しく受け答えしてくださったり、とても親切にしていただきました！

 

「関口眼鏡店」さんは、大正７年牛込神楽坂にあった時計屋を前身として、昭和４４年に成城の地に眼鏡店としてオープンし、なんと今年で創業４７年目になるそうです！

店内は高級感が漂っていて、落ち着いて上品な雰囲気でした。

まず初めにこのお店のこだわりをお伺いしました！

 

店長の芹田さんは、眼鏡を通してお客様の「見る生活」のお手伝いがしたい。

そして眼鏡をかけることで、ファッションとして雰囲気を変身させたいということをおっしゃっていました！

 

次に、このお店のおすすめ商品についてお伺いしました！

まずは店長イチオシのデンマーク製LINDBERGの眼鏡です！

細い！！

 

この眼鏡は、はネジが使われておらず、超軽量で、柔軟かつ強靭ということが特徴です！

本当に軽くて、まるでなにもかけていないようでした！

 

そしてこちらは１８金の眼鏡！！！お値段はなんと約５０万！！！！

 

これは恐れ多くて試着しませんでした…笑

このように、お手頃なものから高級なものまで、さまざまな種類の眼鏡を取り揃えていました！

 

最後に、メガネを使用する際の注意点として、眼鏡を外すときは片手ではなく、しっかりと両手で外し、大切に扱ってほしいとおっしゃっていました！

 

とても眼鏡に対する愛が感じられました！

 

来店されるお客様は高齢者の方が中心となっているそうですが、若い方でも眼鏡の修理や、視力の相談など、無料でおこなっていただけるそうなので、まずは是非、お店に足を運んでみてください！！

Introducing Sekiguchi Meganeten.

This shop is in the first floor of the building called Seijo plaza about one minute on foot from Seijogakuenmae Station north exit.

We interviewed Mr. Kunihiro Serita, the store manager.

As we were tense, he kindly gave us tea to relax us, and answered our awkward questions gently.

 

The business started in Ushigome Kagurazaka in 1918, and the Seijo shop opened as glasses shop in 1969. This year marks its 47th year of business!

There was sense of quality in the shop and an atmosphere refined calm.

Firstly, we asked him that what is the thing that the store cherished the most?

He told us, “I want to help my customers enjoy life through the glasses they choose. When a person changes their glasses, like fashion, they can change their style.”

Next, we asked him about the recommended products of this shop.

The store manager’s first recommendation was glasses by LINDBERG, made in Denmark.

Very light!

The characteristic of these glasses is that they do not use screws, which makes them super lightweight and flexible and tough.

They were really light, almost as if I were not wearing glasses at all!

And these glasses are 18-karat gold! The price is approximately 500,000 yen!

Wow…:O

We were too nervous to try these on.

 

In this way, from things handy to high-quality things, there were various types of glasses.

Finally, we were warned always to take off our glasses with both hands, not with one hand, in order to treat them carefully.

We were able to feel how much he cares for glasses!

Most of the visitors using this shop seem to be elderly people, but the shop repairs glasses and gives eyesight consultation free of charge, so please do drop in.

今回私たちは成城学園前駅から徒歩１分の場所に位置するセレクトショップ、Blue Jellyさんにお邪魔しました。

10年前に開業して以来成城のマダムから愛され続けており、街なかでBlue Jellyさんの商品を身に着けている方も多くいるようです。

まずお店を訪れて目に付くのは、入り口にある青を基調としたブリザードフラワー！

これは「Blue Jelly」というお店の名前の由来であるクラゲをモチーフに、オーナーの友人がプレゼントしてくださった物だそうです。

店構えから可愛らしい雰囲気が伝わってきますね！

お店の中にお邪魔させていただくと、ワクワクするほど素敵なお洋服がたくさん並んでいました。

中でも、入り口を入ってすぐのところに並ぶニコちゃんがポイントのＴシャツは直接イタリアからオーダーしたもので、お店の人気商品だそうです。

なんと！日本ではBlue Jellyさんでしか手に入らないものだとか…..！気になる方は要チェックです☆

その他にも、「いくつになっても可愛いものを…..」というお店のコンセプトが感じられるお洒落な洋服や鞄、靴などがたくさん。

長年メーカーに勤めていたオーナーさんが、海外などへ直接足を運び買い付けているだけあり、どの商品を見ても間違いなしです！

今後の展望をお聞きすると、10年でひとくくりとしてまた新たなことに挑戦していきたいということでした！

成城という街に合った、素敵な商品を展開するBlue Jellyさんの今後の発展も楽しみです！

今回お邪魔させていただき、改めてファッションの魅力を感じることができました。

いつになっても常にお洒落に気を遣っている方はとても素敵に見えますよね！

[Boutique shop favored by “Seijo-Madams” ]

We made a visit to Blue Jelly, a boutique shop located within a minute’s walk from Seijogakuen-mae station.

Since the shop was opened, it has been loved and popular among madams (fashion conscious women) in the Seijo area for over 10 years. And in the streets we can see many people wearing items which are sold at the shop.

What attracted our attention at first in the shop was the blue themed preserved flower display at the entrance.

The flower, designed in the motif of Blue Jelly, was presented by the owner’s friend.

I think you will surely appreciate the lovely appearance of the store. Inside the shop there was a wide variety of wonderful clothing displayed in an attractive way. Especially, the smiley face print T-shirts displayed just beside the entrance are directly imported from Italy and popular items in the shop.

You need to keep in mind that you cannot purchase these items in any other shops in Japan.

If you want to get them, you need to hurry to the shop!

In addition, there were a lot of lovely clothes and bags and shoes designed on the concept “Being adorable no matter how old you get”.

The owner of the shop has been working in clothing industry for a long time and has experienced many trips to buy products in foreign countries, so the items in the shop are of high quality and recommended.

We asked her about the future and she said she would like to try something brand new in another ten years.

We are looking forward to the further development of Blue Jelly, the boutique shop that carries wonderful items in the Seijo area. Visiting the shop this time made us more interested in fashion. Those who always take good care of their fashion look so nice, don’t they??

I highly recommend you to make a visit to the shop at least once.

You will definitely find your favorite items at the shop. You can also buy their items from their online shop. So why don’t you check it out?
